Everyone knows that modern guitar music was generated by a rock'n'roll. Though till 60th years was considered that the electro guitar should sound as usual, just louder. Gradually, with development of guitar techniques, guitarists-innovators began to experiment with regulators of loudness and frequency of the tools and amplifiers. And this, in turn, has entailed change of receptions of playing. The structure of groups also began to adjust to the new sound, then the guitar gradually left on the foreground and has turned to the queen of the ball.
The term "heavy metal" has come from the spheres far from music. For the first time the word-combination "heavy metal" was applied by William Burrows in the novel "Naked Lunch" (1959). He named so rigid, aggressive, energetic music (the matter is that during the Second World on the American soldier's slang "heavy metal" designated an artillery cannonade).
Since 1965 heavy guitars on a scene appear in increasing frequency. Groups of type Kinks, Who, Cream began to reinterpret the American blues and a rock'n'roll, more and more toughening and accelerating its sounding. Thus, began to form a hard rock - grandfather of modern metal. Then in America and England rhythms began to be accelerated and sounding of guitars to be condensed even more. Laid the foundations of the future of music such guys as Deep Purple, Budgie, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Elis Cooper, T-Rex and, of course, great and awful Kiss. More close by the end 70th years, with the advent of pank rock, the hard rock has changed - music became even faster, even more untidily and even more loudly.
Classical Heavy-Metal spawned monsters of rock such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Twisted Sister, Accept etc. Heavy-Metal quickly became itself as the powerful and accurately generated style. It still remains to one of mass culture phenomena - till now such explosion of popularity and sales was not practically at one style (we do not take into account the pop and disco, these are always out of competition).
To date, there are many styles and trends of rock: Speed-Мetal, Thrash-metal, Power-Metal (beautiful melodies and verses, magnificent and symphonic sounding), Death-Metal (the special attention is given to sounding), Grindcore/Deathcore, Black Metal, Doom-Metal (slow, gloomy and depressive), Рagan Мetal (it is based on ceremonial melody a pre-Christian epoch of northern people), Classical and Neo-Classical Metal (is based on the European music of the Middle Ages - both church, and secular), Gothic-Metal (a mix of death metal and doom), Alternative-Metal, Nu-Metal and so on.
It is a lot of people of all age listen to rock. For someone it simply music, for someone - the next hobby, for someone – a style of life, for some people the rock is a cult. It is impossible to underestimate the rock: it is too much funs of this style, too often we come across them.
