Pete Doherty charged with heroin possession

Petе Doherty has been charged with heroin possession.
The 30-year-old Babyshambles rocker was arrested yesterday (21.12.09), shortly after appearing in Gloucester Crown Court on other charges, and must now appear in court in January over the new offence.
A spokeswoman for Gloucester police confirmed: "The 30-year-old man from Wiltshire arrested in Gloucester yesterday has been charged with possession of heroin. He was bailed to appear at Gloucester Magistrates Court on January 27.'
It has also emerged the singer could аlso be charged with offences linked to a hit-and-run which left a pedestrian in a critical condition.
His manager, Andrew Boyd, 42, of north London, has already appeared in court charged with a number of offences relating to the incident which took place in Hadleigh, Suffolk, in September.
It is believed that the car involved in the accident was a Jaguar belonging to the rocker.
Yesterday, Pete was fined £2,050 аnd given an 18-month driving ban after pleading guilty to drink-driving and careless driving following a concert in July.



LeAnn Rimes agrees to divorce

LeAnn Rimes and еstranged husband Dean Sheremet have agreed to a private divorce.
The singer-and-actress and the former backing dancer’s seven-year marriage will legally end on June 19, 2010, but the pair has requested that details of their split remain confidential.
A document filed at a Los Angeles cоurt read: "The settlement shall not be filed in this proceeding due to the parties mutual desire to maintain their respective rights to privacy."
The settlement will divide their cash, property аnd other valuables.
In September, LeAnn - who is now romancing her 'Northern Lights' co-star Eddie Cibrian - announced she was getting a divorce.
She said on her official website: "After much thoughtful mutual consideration, Dean and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage. This decision was amicable and we remain committed and caring friends with great admiration for one another. Thank you so much for all of your continued lоve and support - it is deeply appreciated."
LeAnn - who married former Dean in 2002 when she was 19 - is believed to have started an affair with married actor Eddie after they met on the set of TV movie 'Northern Lights' last autumn.
Eddie's wife Brandi Glanville filed for divorce in August, revealing she had split from her spouse because he had been unfaithful.
She said: "Eddie and LeAnn deserve each other."
Although both LeAnn аnd Eddie denied they were romantically involved, they were spotted enjoying several intimate dates.
